Applied AI Engineer (Forward Deployed) (m/f/d)
in full-time from the Stuttgart metropolitan area
YOUR TASKS
- Conceptualization and development of AI and agent solutions directly at the customer – from analysis to stable production operation.
- Consulting our clients on use case selection and AI strategy: discovery and requirements workshops with specialist departments and decision-makers.
- Design of agent workflows, prompt/context architectures, and tool integrations (MCP, APIs, internal systems)
- Construction and tuning of RAG and retrieval pipelines: data connection, indexing, customer taxonomies
- Quality assurance for production use: evaluation sets, guardrails, and monitoring
- Rapid Prototyping with AI coding tools and further development of existing components
- Documentation and integration of the learnings into our platform
YOUR PROFILE
- Solid foundations in TypeScript/Node.js and React
- Practical experience with LLM APIs and agentic workflows: Tool use, structured outputs, multi-step agents, MCP
- Know-how in RAG and Retrieval: Vector databases, Hybrid Search, Chunking and Reranking strategies
- Evaluation and Observability of LLM Applications
- Understanding of security, data protection (GDPR), and deployments in customer-controlled infrastructure.
- Consulting competence and communication skills in German (at least C1) and English.
- Independent, self-responsible, and goal-oriented working style
- Career changers from Solutions Engineering or technology consulting are explicitly welcome.
